Rolex
Rolex watches are one of the most expensive brands of watches in the world. If you’ve ever thought of getting yourself one, then you’ve probably also come across the thought of how much money you’d have to spend. Although a lot of people argue on whether they’re worth the price or not, one thing is for certain: if you want to have an authentic Rolex, you have to be ready to pay a big price-or do you have to?
If you don’t have much money, you can still opt to find good deals on authentic used Rolex watches. You have to be wary though, because a lot of people get tricked into buying a seemingly authentic Rolex watch, only to find out that it isn’t. People are fooled by creative imitations everyday; whether online, on the streets and even on jewelry stores. But how would you know if you’re looking at an authentic Rolex watch?
Rolex watches are widely known for their amazing design, custom movements and quality, and their popularity also makes them one of the most copied brands of watches in the world. Most of the replicas are sold on the streets by shady vendors, but there are also a lot of operators and companies that deal high quality Rolex replicas for a very low price, particularly the internet, and while some of them admit their products are imitations, the larger portion still brand them as entirely authentic or genuine.
We adore luxury watches and some of us own Rolex ourselves. We know that there’s nothing worse than to have spent your hard-earned money on a seemingly authentic Rolex watch, just to find out later that it’s all been a complete fraud. With so much of your money at hand, we want you to find the perfect Rolex watch.
Luckily, we’ve found a few easy ways to tell an authentic Rolex watch from an imitation. We’ve gotten the secrets from Rolex dealers, master watchmakers and even fake watchmakers. Be sure to keep these tips in mind if you’re going to purchase an authentic Rolex watch, so you can save yourself from losing a lot of cash and experiencing heartaches.
•Case backs – A lot of Rolex imitations have clear backs that let you see the inner workings or the gears of the watch. Rolex has never manufactured a watch with a clear case back.
•Hologram stickers – Authentic Rolex watches are made with a hologram-encrypted sticker on the back of the watch which can be recognized by the Rolex trademark crown right on top of the watch’s reference number. These hologram stickers appear to change when viewed from a different angle. Fake Rolex watches may have stickers on the back, but are not holograms and don’t change appearance.
•Triple lock Crown Seals – A lot of Rolex models use an extra seal inside the threads of the tube of the winding crown. Models such as the Submariner, Sea-Dweller and the Daytona all have this feature. If you fully unscrew the winding crown of your Rolex, you can see the gasket, which looks like a small o-ring. Most Rolex imitations don’t have the extra seal and the ones, which do have them, are usually not functional.
•Micro-Etched Crystal – Authentic Rolex watches now have the crown logo imprinted into the crystal at the 6 o’clock position. This feature is quite small and is very hard to see without the use of a magnifying glass or loupe.
